Yabashi Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred as “our company”) and the subsidiaries of Yabashi Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred as “our group companies”) takes the protection of customers’ personal information as the most important duty of a corporate to meet the customers’ trusts and our company and our group company declear to handle these information in strict and appropriate matter as stated in a policy below.

1. Regarding the observance of laws on the personal information protection

Our company shall observe “Law regarding the protection of personal information”, “Law enforcement regarding the protection of personal information”, “Basic policy regarding the protection of personal information” (Cabinet decision taken on April 2004) in order to handle personal information.


2. Acquisition of personal information, their usage and supplying these to a third party

(1) Our company shall obtain customers’ personal information using appropriate and legal methods. Personal information shall not be acquired, used or supplied to a third party apart from in case that these informations needs to be acquired, used or supplied to a third party in order to maintain adequate business operations and in case it is required by law.

(2) When acquiring and using the personal information, our company shall state usage purposes on the company’s website. (Our basic policy is to obtain and utilize personal information in order to provide smoother customer transaction and for the better customer services). Moreover, if there is any change in usage purpose, then the new utilizing purpose shall be stated on our company’s website.

(3) In case of formulating a contract between our company and customer and the customer’s information is to be acquired from the written document, our company shall state the usage purpose to the customers themselves in person regardless of the statement made for the item (2)

(4) Our company shall not handle information any more than it is necessary to achieve the usage purpose except by legal request or customer agrees to do otherwise.

(5) Our company shall not supply any of personal data acquired (Note) to any third parties except legal request or if customer agrees to do otherwise. (Note) Personal data means personal information that constitute Personal information database etc. (Collective information containing personal information which allows computer to search for a certain individual)

(6) In our company, there are occasions where personal information for appropriate usage purposes are entrusted to outsider, however, this entrustment shall be carried out under a contract to ensure a proper handling of the information and the handling of information shall be inspected periodically. Moreover, there are occasions both our company and our group subsidiaries use personal information, but the necessary information based on legal requirements states in item (1) on co-usage shall be stated on our website.


3. Basic policy on personal information management and leakage prevention measures

(1) Our company believes that secure management of personal information is a main theme on our operations. Our company shall do our best to achieve personal data protections and shall strictly observe the laws related to personal information protection.

(2) Our company shall assign personnels in charge of personal data handling in each departments where these information are handled, and also shall take all the necessary safety measures in terms of organization, human resource and technology. Against the personal information leakage, appropriate information security measures such as measures against unauthorized access and computer virus measures shall be taken to prevent such event from happening.

(3) Our company shall always take appropriate measures to maintain the acquired personal information up to date and accurate.


4. Requesting for the disclosure of the personal data and for the amendment of these data

(1) Our company shall accept claims for disclosure of personal data (note), notification of usage purpose, amendments, suspension of usage and suspension of information supply to a third party (hereafter referred as “disclosure etc.”) made by the person subjected to the personal information. If you would like to claim any of above, you will be subjected to the identification check and then please fill in the application form handed out in our company’s head office and departments and submit it. The result of the application shall be informed to you by a letter. Moreover, if you claim for the disclosure of information or the notification of usage purpose, there will be a set handling charge you need to bear. (note) Personal data means the personal data that our company have right to carry out disclosure etc.

(2) If you would like us to stop the direct marketing such as Direct mail or telephone marketing to you, please notify our head office or departments. Once your identification is checked, we shall immediately stop these marketing to you.
